Absent Elk - Cannibals

Lead singer Kjetil Morland, apart from having a first name I have no idea how to pronounce, is a blossoming master of indie brit-pop, and the rest of the UK-based band support beautifully with their ba-da-ba-ba-da harmonies. For some reason, it kind of reminds me of the All-American Rejects lead sections (vox and guitar solos), but with The Kooks brittish jangle from the backing pieces. And just to make things weirder, they play a cover of an Ace Of Base song. I kid you not.
