Kinch - John Adams

Phoenix’s Kinch is a band that is living proof of free working to your advantage: they give away all of their music free on their website (which they’ve built and maintained themselves), tour relentlessly, and wind up making enough money to survive through their touring. They’re not a big band (still playing opening slots at 200-400 person venues for the most part when on the road), but they still make a living and grow thanks to minimal barriers to discovery and exposure from show’s like tomorrow night’s with Taking Back Sunday. Doesn’t hurt, of course, that their music is quality, as is their live show.
