The Dimes - “Celia’s Garden”

Portland-based The Dimes were featured on the last mixtape, but their forthcoming album, The King Can Drink The Harbor Dry, is so good I needed to feature them as a standalone. The album itself is a history lesson, borrowing tales from America’s past. This track is about a painting of Celia Thaxter in her garden by impressionist Childe Hassam. The band has also added members in their latest incarnation, allowing for fuller orchestration and a powerful live show.
