There’s an heir of desperation in this track, as they sing “Lately I have been / Screaming from lungs that a tongue won’t follow.” The beat does follow, though, and creates a subtle tension that the strings try to subdue in the chorus, but cannot and only wind up adding to the feeling of impending doom.
